Feed the Ducks! On the Riverwalk!

Naperville's beautiful Riverwalk is teeming with nature. Spectacular ducks of all types swim our waters hoping for a few crumbs to be tossed their way.
2 requests though:
1) Feed the ducks only whole wheat material or the proper seed -white flour breads are not healthy for them.
2) Please do NOT feed the Geese. They are bothersome and can bite.

Ride the Glass Elevator See downtown Naperville from way way up high!

You can do it in a glass elevator at the VanBuren Street Parking Garage. Located one block west of Washington Street on VanBuren.

Naperville's Rotary Hill is the perfect spot to fly your kite - wide open and grassy. It's the hill where the Carillon Tower sits, on Aurora street at the Riverwalk.

Naper School

The oldest school in Naperville! Originally the Naper Academy was built on this spot back in 1851. Because of the quality education, students came from other states to attend. Then in 1929 the current building was built at a cost of $99,000.00. The school opened with 185 students in attendance. This school still uses the bell from the original Naper Academy.
It's located on Eagle Street, one block north of Jefferson.
Our town's memorial to the lives lost on 9/11, including one of our own who perished in the Pentagon. The memorial includes an I-beam from one of the twin towers. May we never forget.
Naperville Cemetery
Opened in 1856, our cemetery is fascinating to browse.

The Pre-Emption House Museum - On Aurora Ave at Webster.
A reproduction of the outside of the original Pre-emption House that stood on Main street where Sullivan's steakhouse today stands. The original Preemption house was a Hotel, Restuarant, Stable, Saloon, and more. Today's "Preemption House" is a museum to Naperville's incredible history. Don't miss it! bd's Mongolian Grill - Create your own meal, then watch the chef's prepare it!
They generally have a great $1 beer special, but don't fall for the "Larger beer for $2" pitch. The beers are the same size!

The House was built by Naperville Businessman George Martin. He called it the Century House. Unfortunately it burned down in 1956. This stone marks the spot where the home stood. He later built the large orange Victorian Mansion yu'll be able to see across Aurora Street.
